Pay Day Loans - Am I Getting Screwed?

I've never gotten a payday loan because I am affraid I am getting screwed.
However, when I am pressed for cash Bank of America hits me really hard with those $35.00 bank fees.
Trust me they add up. I onced was charged 5 overdraft fees in a week, that's $35.00 X 5 = $175.00 in one week, that's my paycheck.
